A DAY OF DRIVING: 4 events this summer, to be held at members’ farms.  Drive a dressage test, a cones course, or a few hazards, and enjoy a pot luck lunch and then a pleasure drive afterwards.  Instructors and experienced drivers will be on hand to help, demonstrate, answer questions, provide information, or even share a  driving experience if you come without a horse!

JULY 14-15  Suzy Stafford Driving Clinic - Camelot Hills Farm, Dover Foxcroft, Maine. There are 2 spots available for this clinic if anyone is interested. Contact Beth Steinke at: ionaskye@aol.com for more information Suzy has won both individual gold and two individual bronze medals at FEI World Driving Championships. No matter whether you look to improve your technical driving skills in dressage, cones, hazards, or just to safely go down the road with your equine partner, Suzy is the one who can and will help you to do so.


OCTOBER 6 (Columbus Day Weekend) Spurwink Farm Pleasure Drive, Cape Elizabeth:  A beautiful drive along the coast, through the fields and forests.  Rain date is Monday, October 7.


Here is the Granite State Carriage Association’s schedule. Anyone interested in participating in any of their activities MUST join their club for insurance purposes. It’s a great opportunity to have more driving activities, I encourage everyone to join their club, and hopefully they will join our club!

If for some reason you cannot drive at an event, come anyway and enjoy the sociability. Often someone has room and will gladly give you a ride. Friends, guests, sociable driving people and horseback riders are welcome at all events.


Our insurance requires non members to join in order to drive with us. EVERYONE, rider, driver, passenger, visitor or volunteer helper at an event MUST SIGN A RELEASE FORM available from the event organizer ! Those wishing attendance credit for The Year End participation Award MUST LEGIBLY AND

COMPLETELY FILL IN A RELEASE FORM FOR EACH EVENT ATTENDED! It is not necessary to bring a rig, ride or drive at an event in order to get credit for participation. All events count including meetings for which attendance sheets will be kept.
